Description
This collection includes already lauded but not fugitive pieces–“Tao, The Hag of Beare, The Gipsy Ballads of Lorca–as well as extensive excerpts from the projects to which MICHAEL HARTNETT was devoted at the time of his early death in 1999. These versions of Catullus and Heine display the meticulous character and metrical skill with which he animated earlier engagements. This is the final harvest of a beloved presence in 20th century Irish writing.
